POST TREATMENT CARE OPTIONS :

ENLARGED PORES

If your skin is displaying larger than normal pores, you most likely also exhibit at least one of the following: blackheads, acne and/or oily skin. More often than not, enlarged pores appear to be large because they are in fact, clogged. This happens as a result of your skin producing more oils, sweat, bacteria, etc. This issue is very common and easily treated with a variety of different treatments and products.

ROUTINE FACIALS

If you have acne-prone skin or consistently have struggled with enlarged pores and/or blackheads, the best thing that you can do for your skin is ensuring that you treat yourself to routine facials at least one a month. Your skin expert can monitor your skin and how it is responding to your treatments, and adjust the products and solutions that they use each time to ensure that your skin is looking its healthiest at all times. Extractions are also a part of your routine facial appointment. This is when your Skin Expert will very carefully extract any blackheads or clogged pores during your treatment.

Chemical Peels might also be a great option depending on your skins specific needs. There are many benefits of choosing a chemical peel including deep cleaning pores, removing blackheads, fighting acne, evening out skin tone, brightening skin tone and smoothing out rough skin. All of these benefits contribute to reducing the look of enlarged pores and work to removes debris that contribute to enlarged pores and acne.

IPL THERAPY

Intense light pulses rejuvenate the skin and are able to penetrate deep into the skin, both killing bacteria and stimulating collagen production in the process. The result is improved skin tone, reduced oil production, and an eventual reduction in the size of size pores. Light pulses are focused on the skin cell layers responsible for cell renewal, without harming the surface layers of the skin. Individual IPL procedures normally take between 20-60 minutes depending on the area, and although multiple treatments are typically required, results usually become apparent within a week or two of the first treatment.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a safe and effective method for reducing the appearance of enlarged pores. The micro injuries to the skin caused by microneedling, trigger the skin's natural wound healing response, resulting in the natural production of new collagen and elastin. Collagen creates the appearance of smaller pores and tighter skin.
