PhotoFacial / Photo Rejuvenation

Photo Rejuvenation or PhotoFacial is a procedure where intense pulse light is used to improve variety of skin imperfections and benign conditions. It is a safe and non-invasive procedure that can be tailored to your unique skin type and the specific skin condition to provide superior cosmetic results and therefore outstanding satisfaction. There is no downtime; therefore, you may resume your normal activities immediately after the treatment. Here are some of the skin imperfections and benign conditions that can be treated using this procedure:

  • Skin Damage caused by excessive exposure to sun-light such as age spots (sun induced freckles), brown pigment, mottled pigmentation

  • Age related skin imperfections, rosacea, wrinkles, signs of aging, broken capillaries, dark spots, blotchy skin color, redness of the face and neck, enlarged pore size and uneven pigmentation

  • Unwanted skin conditions like, birthmarks, stretch marks, acne, acne scars (pigments), any other scars, tattoos etc

How is the Procedure Performed?

A cold gel is usually applied to the area to be treated, and you may be given dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the IPL and piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied. You may feel a slight sting, like snapping of a small rubber band.

What to Expect Following Treatment?

Immediately following your treatment, the treated ares will be pinkish red with slight swelling. The reddish coloring will typically dissipate within 24 hours. After the treatment, you may notice that sun spots and discoloration actually appear darker and slightly more prominent. This is normal and a good sign that the treatment is working. Over the next few days, brown spots and other blemishes will begin to surface on the skin. The spots may actually raise and look like dark coffee grounds on the skin. These spots will naturally flake off over the following days.
